Work and education, energy is a possibility

Lavoro“From the point of view of education, we are always attached to the industrial fabric, and this is what the Technical University has been recognized for in the recent years.”

This is an introduction made by Director of Energy Department at the Technical University of Milan Fabio Inzoli
Full Professor of Technical Physics, who talks about the trend of student flows in the prestigious segment and, above all about how education and the plateau of students is changing.

“There has been a considerable opening at the international level which than has resulted in more or less controversial choices related to the need of providing education a more international dimension. This choice has paid with the effects that we have now, which show us what education should be like and how it should be provided these days”.

owever, it is not only Italy that looks abroad. It is also foreign countries that come to Italy. Actually the number of international students is growing at the Technical University of Milan.“ It refers to the entire University and thus not only to the Energy Department. We have on average 25% of foreigners at the M.A. courses, in line with international standards. Moreover, every year we have a 25% growth in the number of around 3000 students.”

But where do they come from? “We are accepting students, above all from the BRIC area and partly from Europe. They are foreign nationality students who are not residents here. Out of them 220 come from BRIC and 180 from the EU, 200 from the U.S. and Japan.”

The education market is international, which is actually reflected also in the offer of the Technical University of Milan. It now has a campus for design in China and another one in India. “Currently, we are opening one in Egypt in close cooperation with other universities and we are thinking about opening a campus in Brazil and Columbia”.
