Media Interview and Photo Opportunities: Making an Impact Ahead of Earth Day with a Clean Up at the Grange Park

Unite for Change welcomes media to join this community event and contribute to the global effort to fight climate change

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--#CanadaHelps--Unite for Change, a platform to learn, support, and take action in support of a variety of a wide range of causes, has released the results from a new survey revealing that more Canadians are worried about climate change and its impacts than ever before. Putting its mission into action as an organization dedicated to empowering Canadians to help make the world a better place, the Unite for Change team is rallying the community and taking action ahead of this year’s Earth Day by cleaning up the Grange Park in downtown Toronto on Friday, April 21 from 11am – 12pm ET. Media are welcome to join. Interview and photo opportunities with the Unite for Change team can be scheduled in advance or on site.

Who:

  • The Unite for Change team is coming together ahead of Earth Day to shine a light on the importance of individuals, communities, and businesses taking action to support climate change initiatives, not only on Earth Day, but every day.
  • The event has been registered as part of the City of Toronto's Clean Toronto Together initiative.
  • Lauren Baker, one of three curators of the Land and Food Justice Fund will be on hand with the Unite for Change team and is available to speak with the media.
  • Nicole Danesi, spokesperson for Unite for Change, will be available for on-site interviews at the Grange Park to talk about the many ways Canadians can make a difference this Earth Day and every other day of the year to address the impacts of climate change. She can discuss the many unique and varied ways Canadians can support climate change initiatives, including donations to innovative cause funds on Unite for Change such as the Fight Climate Change with Policy Fund or Protect the Environment Fund.

  • 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Media arrival time at 11:00am

Where:

  • The Grange Park
  • Beverly St, South of Dundas. The team will begin outside the off leash dog park within the park. The team will be identifiable in black Unite for Change hats and vests.
