The venture started at Prato, in the middle February, with an advice’ desk, with periodical opening, made available by “Chimica Verde bionet” near Legambiente’s headquarters.

How green chemistry can help industrial district

The target is promoting chances given by produced resources’ optimization, finding a second life for production’s waste, following the typical circular economy’s approach in Tuscan industrial district in Prato; like it was in 19th century in the famous textile plants that made the area famous.

The area contains a concentrated paper, textile and skins’ companies” explains at Canale Energia Chimica Verde Bionet president Sofia Mannellimaking this land rich of chances for fruitful trades about raw materials”.

Legambiente and Chimica Verde bionet partnership

Partnership between the two organizations doesn’t surprise, considering that Legambiente is one of the Chimica Verde’ founding partners, moreover many partners participate both organization. Among these the venture’s organizers Marco Benedetti, technologist and industrialist deeply desiring this project in Tuscany, and the researcher Matteo Prussi.

Prato’s community spends much more per person waste disposal, regard similar areas, quite for industrial waste’ abusive disposal“ underlines Chimica Verde’s president. “Here the network ability to promote everyone’s production is main to development. Right now with our office still closed, we had advices and requests about materials we could reuse. Our rule will be, as usual, to build bridges between different industrial institutions and make them valuable. We work towards training, information and, if we have the chance, project realization’s activity with companies”.

De facto a chance and a big gift for companies and ambient.
