Solar, 60% of italian people would warm up the house this way

Shutterstock 27228311060% Italians would choose solar power to warm up their houses. This is what says “Living in Europe” research, realized by E.ON through Kantar Emnid, who analyzed preferences about energy’s use, electrical appliances and about residences’ technologies on a 8000 people’ sample from Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Sweden, Turkey and Hungary.

Italy and Hungary prefer solar energy

In a context seeing at present gas as the most popular way of heating – United Kingdom 75% and Italy 72% – Hungary and Italy consider solar energy the best option to cope with houses’ energy needs. In our country, in particular, preference in about 60% as we wrote few lines above, a certainly  higher data compared to Germany’ 46% and United Kingdom’ 38%, but generally even higher of our equivalent latitudes’ positioned countries like Romania and Turkey.

Ideal temperature

But, if we take into account the perfect temperature for residences, the report shows how the Italian 56% prefers, for bedroom, about 18/20 °C and only 21% choose higher than 20 °C temperature. Furthermore, if we take into consideration the interviewed’ samples that prefers sleeping with less than 18 °C, percentage drops to 16%. In England and Germany, instead, the optimal sleeping temperature in about 18 °C, while in the other Central Europe’s countries is between 20 and 22 degrees.
